3. Publicly Available Business Information and Business Listings
Neem Connect is a business directory and marketplace designed to help users discover and connect with contractors, tradespeople, suppliers, builders, businesses, and other professionals within the construction, home improvement, and related industries.
Collection and Use of Publicly Available Business Information
In addition to information provided directly to Neem Connect, we may, where permitted by applicable law, collect, organize, verify, use, and display factual business and professional information obtained from publicly available and other lawful sources.
Sources may include public business and professional directories, government and regulatory registries, official business websites, publicly accessible business listings, information published by businesses for business or professional purposes, and other lawful public sources.
Information may include:
- Business or operating name;
- Business category, profession, or trade;
- Business address or service area;
- Publicly listed business telephone number;
- Publicly listed business email address;
- Business website;
- Business hours;
- Services offered;
- Publicly available licences, certifications, or professional credentials; and
- Other factual information reasonably relevant to identifying, locating, or describing a business or professional.
Where permitted by applicable law, Neem Connect may use this information to create, publish, maintain, and update a business listing without first obtaining consent from or contacting the applicable business or professional.
The fact that information is accessible on the Internet does not necessarily mean that it may be collected, used, or republished without restriction. Neem Connect seeks to collect and use publicly available information only where permitted by applicable law and for purposes reasonably connected to operating the Neem Connect business directory and marketplace.
Unclaimed and Unverified Listings
A business listing may appear on Neem Connect even if the business has not registered with Neem Connect, directly submitted its information, or entered into a commercial relationship with Neem Connect.
Listings created using publicly available information may be identified as “Unclaimed,” “Unverified,” or by similar wording.
The presence of a business listing on Neem Connect does not mean or imply that the business has registered with, endorsed, sponsored, partnered with, or is otherwise affiliated with Neem Connect.
Claiming and Correcting a Listing
If you are the owner or an authorized representative of a business appearing on Neem Connect, you may request to claim the listing at any time.
You may also request that inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated business information be corrected or updated.
Neem Connect may require reasonable verification to confirm that you are the business owner or are authorized to represent the business before granting control of, materially modifying, or removing a listing.
Listing Removal and Opt-Out
A verified business owner or authorized representative may request at any time that their business listing be removed from public display on Neem Connect.
There is no requirement for a business to maintain an unclaimed listing on Neem Connect, subject to applicable legal or regulatory requirements.
Once a valid removal request has been verified, Neem Connect will process the request and remove the applicable listing from public display within a reasonable period.
Neem Connect may retain limited internal information necessary to document and honour the removal or opt-out request, comply with applicable legal obligations, prevent fraud or abuse, and help prevent the business listing from being unintentionally recreated through future collection or import of publicly available information.
Removal of a listing from Neem Connect does not remove or alter information appearing on the original public, government, business, directory, or third-party source.
Accuracy of Publicly Sourced Information
Neem Connect makes reasonable efforts to provide useful and accurate business information. However, publicly sourced information may become outdated, incomplete, or inaccurate.
Neem Connect does not guarantee that information contained in an unclaimed or unverified listing is complete, current, accurate, or error-free.
Business owners and authorized representatives are encouraged to contact Neem Connect to claim their listing or request corrections, updates, or removal.
Users should conduct their own due diligence and independently verify relevant information before hiring, purchasing from, contracting with, or otherwise relying upon a business or professional listed on Neem Connect.
Third-Party and Proprietary Content
Neem Connect’s ability to use publicly available factual business information does not necessarily provide Neem Connect with the right to reproduce copyrighted, trademarked, or other proprietary content belonging to another person, business, website, or platform.
Unless authorized, licensed, or otherwise permitted by applicable law, Neem Connect will not intentionally reproduce third-party copyrighted photographs, detailed written descriptions, customer reviews, videos, graphics, or other proprietary content solely because such content is publicly accessible.
Neem Connect may use factual business information, independently prepared descriptions, appropriately licensed materials, or content supplied directly by businesses.
Management of Business Listings
Subject to applicable law, Neem Connect reserves the right to create, categorize, update, correct, merge, suspend, restrict, or remove business listings when reasonably necessary to maintain the accuracy, integrity, security, usefulness, and operation of the Neem Connect platform.
Neem Connect may also remove or restrict listings that are fraudulent, misleading, duplicated, unlawful, abusive, or otherwise inconsistent with Neem Connect’s policies.
Marketing Communications and Unsubscribe
Users may unsubscribe from applicable promotional or marketing communications from Neem Connect at any time by using the unsubscribe option provided in the communication or by contacting Neem Connect.
Unsubscribing from marketing communications is separate from requesting removal of a business listing. A business owner who wishes to have their listing removed from Neem Connect should submit a listing removal request through Neem Connect’s designated contact, support, or listing-management process.
Certain transactional, security, account, or service-related communications may continue where reasonably necessary to administer an account or provide Neem Connect services.
Requests and Contact
Business owners and authorized representatives may contact Neem Connect at any time to:
- Claim a business listing;
- Correct or update business information;
- Report inaccurate or duplicate information;
- Request removal of a business listing; or
- Raise a privacy concern regarding information displayed on Neem Connect.
Neem Connect may request reasonable information to verify the identity and authority of the person making the request before modifying, transferring, or removing a business listing.
Neem Connect handles personal information in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy laws and the remainder of this Privacy Policy.

- If there is no further activity on your account within 90 days, all associated data will be permanently deleted from our systems
- If you log in or use the app during this 90-day period, the deletion request will be cancelled automatically for security and recovery purposes

20. How Account Deactivation & Deletion Works in App
User Requests Deactivation Go to Profile → Edit → "Deactivate Account" at the bottom. Click the option to confirm deactivation. Account Status Changes Your account is immediately deactivated (hidden from others). You cannot log in unless you reactivate within 90 days. 90-Day Inactivity Period If you do not log in for 90 days, your account and data are scheduled for permanent deletion. You'll receive an email reminder (if applicable) before deletion. Permanent Deletion After 90 days of inactivity, all account data is erased and cannot be recovered. ⚠️ Important: To cancel deletion, simply log in during the 90-day window. Deactivated accounts won't appear in searches or to other users
